Custom Orders

Hello all, well the last few days have been a busy one with working on a few customers order.

The first product I was working on is one of these beautiful Personalised Santa Treat Trays

I discussed with the customer what personalisation and colour she would like, so I then painted to the colours she requested. The colours she had chosen are Red,Green, and Gold for the lettering.

So here is the finished product, and the customer is over the moon with the finished product.

The next product I was working on was a Business Sign, for Cheryl who runs Relived & Reloved, I did this as part of a give away and Cheryl won this, I can also make them to order.

I asked Cheryl what colours she would like this painted and I managed to match the colours to her business stationery :) The colours I used for it were Pearl Ice Blue, Pearl Mint Green, and Pearl Pink

The last order I was working on this week is a Name train, all painted to the customers requirements using Pearl Blue, and Blue

Another item part of this order was a Princess light switch surround which again was done the the customers requirements, the colours chosen for this were, Pearl Pink and Pearl Lilac

Lastly for this order was another light switch surround but this one had Prince on it, done is Metallic Sapphire, Pearl Ice Blue, and a Silver Star

Custom Order Stage By Stage

Hello all

Well I thought I would share with you a custom order I have been working on in stages.

I was asked by the customer to do a In These Moments Time Stood Still plaque with personalisation of when her children were born, So It consisted that she would need 3 clocks with the clock faces etched in with the clock hands. The size of plaque that the customer went for was 30cm. The whole design and cutting was done by one of my many talented suppliers.

Here is the product when it arrived with me from the supplier, this is how it looks before I started my magic on it, as you can see from the picture it is very detailed with the clock faces, then with stars and hearts incorporated. Before this arrived I discussed with the customer what colours she would like, and she had decided on Blue and Silver, so then it was decided for the lettering to be Blue and the Clocks in Silver, With the stars also in silver and the outer edge hearts in a baby blue and the hands in the same blue as the lettering.

So when the item arrived like above (hands are not stuck into place) I sat down and began to work my magic on it, I used a primer before I started to paint it, the primer, gives it that added protection so the paint does not soak into the wood and also makes the colours more vibrant, once the primer has dried I then sand it down using fine sand paper to give a smoother finish. I then began painting it in Crafter's Acrylic Paint in the colours mentioned above, and bought the product to life. I then used some Glamour Dust Paint in Turquoise over the Azure Blue lettering to give it that add sparkle.

Now all that was left to was, add all the personalisation including Names,Date.Of.Births and gluing the clock hands into place for the times each child was born. To do the personalisation I have used some Paint Markers with a very fine tip and hand written these on. The hands have been glued into place using Anita's Tacky Glue.

Here is the product all complete

The wonderful thing is with these plaques is that I can do them with 1 clock and up to 6 clocks, They can even be done for When you and your partner met,Got Engaged and Got Married for the 3 clock version like above, or go for the 1 clock version for when you got married.

These are available to order on my facebook page
Also available on my Supermums Craft Fair Stall

I hope you have enjoyed reading about this order and like what I have done

Special Memorial Keepsake

Hello all well I have some very special keepsake memorial cards to share with you all.

I was recently asked by an old school friend/repeat customer to make her 4 memorial bookatrix keepsake cards for herself and 3 family members which were cousin, brother, son and nephew. I have already made such a thing for her in the past a memorial keepsake of her mum, so when she asked me to do her 4 in memory of her cousin I was highly honoured to do them for her.

Everything she asked me to do I have done, from the colours of the keepsakes the pictures she chose which I edited with her cousin's name date of birth and the date of his passing, the finishing touches (skull and crossbones) the skull and crossbones is a Digi stamp designed by Teri at Delicious Doodles  including the verses, I did the verses and then sent them to her for her approval to which she was over the moon with I also did an added extra for her which was to put her cousins name down the centre of the ribbon.

I also agreed to send her pictures via a message once they were complete and her response was second to known, this is what she had to say about them "Kelly they are amazing and absolutely amazing, thank you again you are an absolute star." she also said "They are absolutely perfect sweet, Love em :) got a lump in my throat."

So here they are

I was over the moon with her response as we did have a few problems along the way of getting them done and when they were the first time, she admitted to a mistake she had made of the day of his passing, so I re-edited the pictures, re-printed them and then replaced them on the keepsakes.

The end product I could not have been more happy with even though we did have a few problems which were soon sorted, she has even said she will recommend me to her family and make sure they know who has made them and is passing on my details. The one thing I have been asked is to not put them on Facebook as of yet, as 3 of them are a surprise for her family members once they have seen them they will then be added to my customer order album on Facebook, so others can see what I have done.

Even though it was such a sad occasion to be doing a keepsake for I still enjoyed doing it as it was made easy for me as the customer knew exactly what she wanted and that is what she got plus a bit more, as a lot of love care and thought went into each and everyone of them.
