"Halloween-Something Scary"

Definitely NO cutsies allowed folks - get your creep on!!!!

Second entry - type '2nd entry' after your name and link to your blog.

So to win FIVE of my Delicious Doodles images in the random draw, join in with us this week!
 Have fun everyone!

Here is my make for this weeks challenge
I have used the following Digi's: Gates Of Hell, Digits, Horrorscope-Capricorn,

Open the gates of hell to see inside mwahahahaha!!!

I first started off by choosing the digi's I wanted, I then resized them and printed them off, once printed and the ink had dried I then began to colour my images in using Promarkers the colours I have used are: Gates of hell - Pastel Beige, Khaki, warm grey 3, Berry red and orange. Digits: Khaki. Horrorscope Capricorn: Khaki. Gravestone Scene: Warm Grey 1 and 3.

Once they were all coloured I then cut out all of my images and decoupaged up parts that I wanted to be 3d like the Horrorscope image, and some of the gravestones, now all this was done I then added the Digits image onto either side of the gates by adding 3d foam pads and curling them around the gates to make it look like something wanted to open them.

Now the gates were complete I then took the Pile O Bones backing paper and stuck this down on the front of a blank 8x8 card then added my decoupaged Capricorn image and then the gravestone scene on top of this.

I then scored along the edge of each side of the gates and stuck this done either side so that the gates could then be opened to show inside of them.

I have really gone out of my comfort zone again with this make as I wanted it to be scary and I'm sure you will agree it is, It is surprising how well using more than one digital image can make as you can see here with my inspiration make. I hope you all have just as much fun with this challenge as I have had, so come on let your creepy horror scary side out and have fun.

Good luck all

The winner of the challenge is chosen by a random thingy, and you could win 5 yes 5 digi images of your choice, Don't forget if you do use a Delicious Doodles image you will  also be spotlighted. Good Luck

So here is my DT Piece for this weeks challenge :) I decided to go for a creepy theme instead of a traditional Christmas make

For this piece I have used Pile O' Bones Paper and Skully Santa
BAH HUMBUG!!!

To do this card, I used a blank 8x8 card
Firstly I chose my backing paper and printed this off, also my image and sentiment once these were all printed off I then coloured in the Skully Santa using my promarkers, the colours I have used are:
Pastel Beige, Khaki, Poppy, Berry Red, Warm Grey 3, Cool Aqua, Purple and Emerald

Once he was all coloured in I then cut him out by hand and the same with the backing paper, I then got some glittered black card and cut this to size I also used my corner punch on the Pile o' Bones paper. I then stuck both my packing papers down onto my blank card, I then added my black feather some pearls and the black flower.

I then used my foam tape on Skully Santa and made this stand out from the card by layering up the foam tape and then stuck this to my backing papers

Lastly I added a strip of black ribbon along the bottom and mounted my sentiment on top of this and finished the whole card off by adding some diamantés to the ribbon on each side of the sentiment

I hope you all have lots of fun with this challenge and it gets you into the Christmas mood, I really enjoyed doing this piece as it's different from the usual Christmas makes I do
Have fun!!

Challenge #48 Butterflies

Hey Hey everyone,
Well I hope you are all enjoying the summer holidays and having plenty of fun, I also hope the kiddies are behaving themselves and staying safe.

Soooo it's that time of week over at Delicious Doodles yes you guessed it - it's challenge time

This weeks challenge is

We would love to see Delicious Doodles images on your creations, but it is not a requirement.

If you do use a Delicious Doodles image you can enter TWICE, and you get to be spotlighted next week!

Sorry folks, in the interest of fairness to all we only allow ONE ENTRY per person, unless using a DD image. You can combine entries with as many other challenges as you like.

So here is my piece for this week's challenge
I have used the image "Fairy Fae"

And here it is all boxed up

The way I did my bookatrix keepsake calendar card: I first started off by choosing my image and printing it off, once it was printed I then coloured it in using my Promarker pens the colours I have used are:
Hot Pink, Tulip Yellow, Cool Aqua, Orchid, Baby Pink, Oatmeal, Cocoa

Once my image was coloured in I then cut it all out, now to make the bookatrix, I used my Glitter Girls embossing board to do each layer on the bookatrix, once these were all done on the board I then cut each layer out and then decorated the edges with peel off border stickers.

Now all the layers were cut out and decorated around the edges I then stuck them into position using double sided tape, and foam pads to give the pages a little more shape, I then added my image to the left-hand side and my Calendar to the right-hand side,Then I added some satin ribbon down the centre and a small bow with a bell to the top.

That is the bookatrix all finished, now for the gift box, I used a eazi-score board to make my base and lid, the lid took a little longer as I then added a window into it in the same shape as the bookatrix. I did this by using a template to draw around and then used my craft knife and carefully cut out the window, once it was all cut out I then cut my Acetate to the correct size and added this on the inside of the lid, Before building the lid up I then, decorated the edge with peel off border stickers.

Now the lid and base could be made up which is pretty simple its a matter of folding all sides up and sticking the tabs to the sides.

And there we have my Bookatrix Calendar Keepsake

Challenge #47 - Anything Goes - Delicious Doodles

Hello all well, here we are another fantastic challenge over at

This time both team can take part due to not all members taking part because of the summer holidays, but some of us wanted to carry on during the holidays so it keeps us out of mischief ;), This weeks challenge is:

So to win 5 of the fabulous images all you need to do is enter the challenge with a recent make that goes to the theme which is easy enough as it is Anything Goes. If you use a Delicious Doodles image you may enter the challenge twice, but if you do not you can only enter the once.

Here is my inspiration piece for you all

For thsi challenge I decided to make a Easel card, so to do this I used a piece of A4 black card and my Easy Score board and scored my lines, I then folded them to make the easel card, once this was done I then concentrated on my centre image, which is Steampunk Sally I then printed this off and then coloured  it in using my promarkers.
The colours I have used are:
Magenta, Hot Pink, Oatmeal, Azure, Gold, Warm Grey 3, and Emerald

Once this was coloured in I then cut it out and rounded off the edges using my corner punch, I then got my peel off stickers and put some corners on the back panel and the base panel. I then stuck my image onto the centre and put 2 red feathers either side of the image.

Lastly I then took one of my 21st verse sentiments and placed it into the centre of the base as this would be used as the stopper for the card also. Now that this was all done I finished the card off by using some 21st peel off stickers to put a 21 key each side of the verse with happy on one side and birthday on the other under each key.

I hope you all have lots of fun with this challenge, and I hope you get some inspiration from my card

A day in Blackpool

Hello all well, yesterday was a bit of a surprise was not expecting it at all, the other half decided to take me on a random drive to Blackpool for the day YAY!!!, Now we have just recently celebrated our 5 year anniversary and I am so happy to say we are also FINALLY planning our wedding YIPEEEE!!! were looking at August 2015 and I can honestly say I can not wait.

Anyways while in Blackpool we decided to take a look at Madame Tussauds while we were there and make use of the merlin annual passes lol, so here are a few piccies of us in Blackpool

After Tussauds we took a walk along the promenade, onto North pier and back down again on the beach

I was really proud of myself and so was my partner as we did quite a bit of walking and I managed to do it, but we did have a few sit down's now and then and I made sure I took my medication with me this time, we even stopped off for some tea at a outstanding place called New Yorker Restaurant which is on the promenade, the food was OMG!!! delicious we both really enjoyed our meal we even sat outside to eat, We are defo going to go and eat there again.

By the time we made our way back to the car I was exhausted but can honestly say had a brilliant day was a lovely surprise, I was so glad to be in the car though and on our way home, but there was one more thing we had to do on the way home and that was stop off at a service station and grab a Starbucks lol.

We finally arrived home just after 11pm to a lovely little surprise a cute little hedgehog was walking up our driveway so I just had to get the little guy in a blanket and move him out of the way, we also had a lovely welcome home from our Staffordshire bull terrier Prince who seemed really glad to have us home with lots of talking to us cuddles and kisses, but as always he was sooooo gentle with me he must have known I was a little achy and sore.

Prince wanted to say Hi!! (Woof)

So after just relaxing for a bit on the sofa, we then went bed I must have died when my head hit the pillow, but was then woken up by a wonderful storm NOT!!!

I hope you all had a lovely day, and keep your eyes open over the next few days for a few more updates on what I have been busy doing with regards to new creations, challenge pieces, Staffordshire SANDS news, and event news

Delicious Doodles Challenge #42 Add A Charm

Hiya all!

Well as you can see it’s that time of the week for another great challenge over at DeliciousDoodles,

This  weeks theme is Add A Charm, so for this challenge I have decided to use the lovely image

So why not give it a go and be in the chance of winning five of the delicious doodles images of your choice, you can enter twice if you use one of the delicious doodles digi’s and once if you do not. Also don’t forget if you do use one of the Delicious Doodles digi’s you will be spotlighted

So here is my inspiration piece for you all to get some lovely ideas from

For this piece I decided to do something a little different, that I have not done for a while a bookatrix card with matching stand.

I first started out by picking my image and printing it out, I then started to colour my image in using my promarkers, the colours I have used are:
Baby Pink, Dusky Rose, Oatmeal, Blush, Cocoa and Burnt Umber

Once it was all coloured in I then cut out my image and put it to one side for later, Now I needed to make the bookatrix, I did this by using a Glitter Girls bookatrix embossing board.
I picked my two pieces of card, and used them on the embossing board to emboss the outline of the bookatrix pages, once I had done this I then cut them out, now they are both cut out I decorated the edges with some peel off border stickers after I rolled the pieces back on themselves so it gave them a curved book look, and folded on the score lines to make the centre of the bookatrix, I did this with both pieces of card I then glued them one on top of the other.

Now all this was done I added my image to the right hand side by gluing it in position, Now I could concentrate on the left hand side of the bookatrix, so I used some sizzix die cuts one for the baby rattle and one for the baby bottle, once I had done these using my Big Shot, I placed them to one side and again used some peel off stickers one which reads New Baby and the others which read Congratulations and another that says A Baby Girl, I stuck these into position now they were in position I then glued the rattle and the bottle into position. (The rattle top I have left blank for a reason, so that the baby’s weight or d.o.b can be added along with the time baby was born)

I added some diamantes onto the die cut rattle and some ribbon to the centre of the bookatrix, and with the same ribbon I made a bow which I fixed a small chain to and added some lovely baby charms, the charms I added to this piece are a baby bottle, birth certificate, dummy, and a pram. The bow with charms I fixed to the ribbon in the centre of the bookatrix.

Lastly I made a stand to match the bookatrix, so I used the same pink spotted card which is on the bookatrix for the stand, I did this by using my stand template to draw around twice cut both out and then glued them both together I then folded them in half to make the stand.
So there we have a beautiful pink bookatrix keepsake card all finished with an added extra of baby charms,

I hope this piece gives you lots of inspiration and you have alot of fun with your challenge entry I look forward to seeing them all

Challenge #38 Delicious Doodles

Hello all, well its challenge time over at
Delicious Doodles YAY!!, This weeks challenge is

So get your thinking caps on, and show us all what you can do, just by doing a white on white creation, I have really gone out of my comfort zone with doing my DT make for this challenge first time I have done a white on white make and must say I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

When you enter a Delicious Doodles challenge, you can win Five Digi images use two of the delicious doodles images and enter twice, you will also be spot lighted for using one of the digi's by Teri :), so what are you waiting for.

Well I think its time I show you my DT card for this weeks challenge and here it is
The image I have used for my card is Lovey-Dovey Silhouette

Now for how I did my creation, This has all been done on a blank A5 size card. Firstly I chose my Digi image, and printed it out I then used one of my Die Cuts called Nesting Dies with my Big Shot, to cut the image out, Once the image was cut out I then added some diamantés around the edge.

The next thing I did was to cut out some more of my die cuts using my Big Shot, The first lot I cut out was the butterflies which is a Vintage Flourishes die, I then used my Memory Box Cherry Blossom die, and lastly my Marianne Design Creatable die, Now all my die cuts were all done I then started to make my roses I also added some glitter glue to the edges of the roses, and to one of the butterfly die's, While these were drying I added my Sentiment using some lovely silver peel off stickers to my Marianne Design Creatable Die, then added some more diamantés.

Now I started to make up my flowers with some leaves and a diamanté in the centre , Now it was time to do the layout, so I put my blank card flat and tried different layouts till I was happy once I was happy I then began to stick everything in place, I also used one of my heart doilies and an embossed heart background, once everything was stuck in place and dried I then decided to give it one last finishing touch with some more bling so I gave the butterflies a little diamanté trail.

I hope you like what you see and get lots of inspiration from it for your own challenge entry, good luck with your entries I can't wait too see what you all come up with.
